Terms of Service
Last updated: August 19, 2026
1. Who you are contracting with
StageScout Pro is operated by Barbara Diane Hansen ("StageScout Pro", "we", "us"), trading as StageScout Pro. These Terms of Service form a binding agreement between you and Barbara Diane Hansen. You can reach us at support@stagescout.app.
2. Acceptance
By creating an account, subscribing, or continuing to use StageScout Pro, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you are using StageScout Pro on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that organization. If you are using it as an individual, you confirm you are of legal age to enter into a contract.
3. What StageScout Pro provides
StageScout Pro is a subscription software service that helps professional speakers build a speaker profile, maintain a private list of target stages (podcasts, conferences, virtual events and similar), track outreach and bookings, publish a shareable public one-sheet, and receive suggested opportunities produced with the help of automated web research and AI models.
4. Your account
You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Tell us promptly at support@stagescout.app if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
5. Licence and restrictions
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use StageScout Pro within the plan you have selected, for your own speaking business. You must not reverse engineer the service, resell or redistribute access, circumvent usage limits or technical controls, or use the service to build a competing product.
6. Acceptable use
You must not misuse StageScout Pro. In particular, you must not:
- use the service for any unlawful purpose or in breach of applicable law;
- send spam, engage in fraud, or misrepresent your identity, credentials or affiliations;
- infringe anyone's intellectual property, publicity or privacy rights;
- interfere with the security or integrity of the service, including uploading malware, probing or scanning our systems, bypassing authentication, or scraping data at scale;
- upload content that is defamatory, harassing, hateful, or sexually exploitative.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you upload, including your bio, photos, talk descriptions, notes, documents and links. You grant us a limited licence to host, store, process and display that content solely to operate the service for you, including publishing your public one-sheet when you choose to enable it. You confirm you have the rights needed for everything you upload, including photographs and video you link to.
If a rights holder believes content on StageScout Pro infringes their rights, they can write to support@stagescout.app with details of the content and the claimed right, and we will review it. We may remove or restrict content, and may suspend accounts that repeatedly infringe.
8. AI features and research suggestions
Some features use AI models and automated web research to suggest profile copy and possible stages. These outputs are drafts and may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. You are responsible for reviewing, verifying and editing anything before you publish it or send it to a booker, for the prompts and material you submit, and for having the rights to any content you input. Outputs are not legal, financial, tax or other professional advice. We may filter, refuse or remove outputs and restrict use of these features where needed to prevent abuse.
9. Our intellectual property
We retain all right, title and interest in StageScout Pro, including its software, design, documentation, and the StageScout Pro name and branding. Nothing in these terms transfers our intellectual property to you.
10. Payment, subscriptions and taxes
StageScout Pro is offered on monthly and annual subscriptions, with a free trial period where advertised. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Payment, billing frequency, renewal, cancellation, tax and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You can cancel at any time from Manage billing inside your account; access continues until the end of the period you have paid for. Refunds are described in our Refund Policy.
11. Service level
We work to keep StageScout Pro available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The service may be unavailable during maintenance, or because of failures in third-party providers, networks or AI services.
12. Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, StageScout Pro is provided "as is" and we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that you will obtain any speaking engagement, booking or business result from using the service.
13. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost bookings, lost data or loss of goodwill. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.
14. Indemnity
You will indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, losses and expenses arising from your content, your unlawful or infringing use of the service, or your breach of these terms.
15. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms, fail to pay, create a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly or seriously violate our acceptable use rules. Where practical and lawful we will give notice and an opportunity to fix the problem first. You may stop using StageScout Pro and close your account at any time.
When your account ends, your public one-sheet stops being served. You may export or copy your data for 30 days after the account ends, after which we may delete it in line with our Privacy Notice.
16. Changes to the service and these terms
We may update the service and these terms. If a change is material, we will give reasonable notice, for example by email or an in-app notice. Continued use after the change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
17. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas and applicable federal law of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Texas have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, and you and we consent to that venue. Nothing here removes rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence.
18. Other terms
You may not assign these terms without our written consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. Neither party is liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond its reasonable control. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in force. These terms are the entire agreement between us regarding StageScout Pro.
